About Fairytale Dance Productions
At Susanne Hanger Dance we strongly believe dance is a performance art. All our pupils are given the opportunity to perform on stage at our annual Fairytale Dance Production held at Baycourt Theatre during the April school holidays.

Each year our teachers, students and parents unite to bring a long loved fairytale to life with the use of wonderful costumes, props, lighting and music.

This is a huge confidence builder for our pupils as they learn to combine dance, drama, mime and expression to portray their character.

Fairytale Dance Productions presents – Red Riding Hood
In a clearing in a wood, a charming little cottage stood. There lived Little Red Riding Hood who was always so nice & always so good. Nearby was some extra support, Grandma who was a wholesome sort. She lived on the other side of the wood & visited as oft she could. On this fine day of which I tell, Grandma rang she wasn’t well. Sore throat & shivers, a thump in the head, in fact she had been confined to her bed.

And so this wonderful tale of Red Riding Hood begins. The fairytale, told through dance & mime is sure to capture the imagination of the young and old alike. Join Fairytale Dance productions this April as Susanne Hanger celebrates her 31th Annual Production with this magical tale that brings together good and evil - in an uplifting and comical fashion expressed through clever characters, amazing scenery, fantastic props and costumes and of course the wonderful dancers aged from 3 to 18. Along the way meet the funky hip hop Gnomes, the beautiful ballet Roses, the tapping Raspberry Tarts, the slinky & charming Wolf and the cutest little Flower Fairies you have ever seen.
