BEING PREPARED FOR CLASS
What to bring:
Dance or athletic clothing/uniform.
A named water bottle.
Any medical requirements (asthma inhaler etc)
An enforced dress code helps in many ways - by wearing a uniform of sorts, a dancer understands they are going to a structured class and develops the right mindset. The outfit is not a distraction during class while also making sure that a dancer is appropriately covered. Uniforms also creates an identity and sense of belonging tostudio, are very practical and enable the teachers to assist students in learning to dance.
Ballet slippers - Young dancers' ballet slippers are recommended to be full-sole leather ballet shoes.
Ballet slippers help grip the mat while also allowing for sliding gracefully along the floor.
We expect our new students to be wearing ballet shoes after the second lesson for safety reasons.
You'll find everything you need to starts at our local Dance Shop Dancewear Essentials or clicking here.
SHD merchandise T- Shirts available to purchase at the studio.
